Getting there

• From Krabi to Ao Luek: van 60 THB a person, songthaew 40 THB a person, or 1,000–1,500 THB to charter a vehicle for the trip. Motorcycle from Ao Luek market to Ban Tham Suea, 100–150 THB a person. Bicycles can be hired in the village at 30 THB an hour or 150 THB for the whole day.

Staying over

• Rai Preeda Homestay is the hub of the community and takes visitors several ways — detached houses, terraced houses, longhouses and a campsite — with a full activity programme, from 800 to 1,200 THB including breakfast
• The village head's house has 5 rooms, 1 air-conditioned and 4 with fans, sleeps 15, at 350 THB a person including breakfast
